Recently, the team at SOS Alloys completed a diamond cutting service job on an Audi S3 at a customer’s home in Macclesfield.
This particular job was completed on a lease vehicle that the client had kerbed. He wanted to make sure it was given back in the same condition – so he wouldn’t incur any additional charge at a higher rate on return.

The Process
This process involved using a special lathe machine to remove a thin layer of metal from the surface of the wheels.
While the process can be time-consuming, the end results are well worth the effort. This job took around 5 hours to complete, and the customer was back on the road the same day – without having to leave it at a garage for 4 days – which he was told by another company he would have to do.
Finish
After cutting all 4 alloy wheels, a quality coating was applied to finish.
The application of the coating helps protect wheels from corrosion and other damage caused by everyday wear and tear.
After completion, the alloys were left with wheels as good as new.
